Getting Back to the True Meaning of Christmas

Published by peregrinus at 9:30 pm under Apologetics, Ramblings, Spirituality

Christmas has been commericalized and secularized to the point where it is not even called Christmas anymore.  It is high time we get back to the real meaning and that is the celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For me, I have not decorated for Christmas in year and I usually finish my “Christmas Shopping” before Thanksgiving (This year it was November 3rd).  That way I can concentrate on Advent and Christmas.  One thing new this year is that I am going to at least match what I bought in gifts for family this year and give it to charity which is part of true giving of oneself.
