Perspectives of a Wanderer

Since we are celebrating Christ’s birth I would like to pose a question.  First, a little background.

History has been an interest of mine for years.  This includes alternative history in the vein of something like Harry Turtledove writes (although I have not read any of his books).  Now to the question.

What if the events leading upto Christ’s birth happened today?  If would be interesting with the anti-God sentiment of today’s Liberal Secular Relativist society.  If the equivalent to the ACLU got wind that God was about to become Man, would they try to force Mary to have an abortion?  Would they go to court to isolate Christ from his ministry on Earth?  Would they be the modern day Pharisees?

I would be interesting to look into the possibilities of transposing Christ’s birth and life into today’s world.
